May 27 - June 24 | The Student Center
Join us for a one-time membership class where you’ll learn more about Parkcrest’s mission, vision, and values and what it means to be part of our church family. This class is a great opportunity to hear the heart behind who we are and how we pursue God together.
We will be offering three different class dates (Wednesday, May 27, 6:30-8 PM | Sunday, June 7, 1-2:30 PM |Wednesday, June 24, 6:30-8 PM), and you only need to attend one. If you have received Christ as your Lord and Savior and believe that God has called you to belong to His family at Parkcrest Church, we would love to invite you to attend.
Click the link below to sign up for the date you would like to attend. For more information on the purpose of this meaning, please read the letter below from Pastor Anthony.
A VISION FOR BELONGING
Jesus didn’t just save us into a personal faith—He saved us into a family. To follow Jesus is to belong to His body: a diverse community of believers rooted in the garden of God’s grace, committed to a shared life of formation and mission. Membership is not an exclusive status; it’s an open invitation to belong. In a disconnected world, it’s an invitation to put down roots, be known, and flourish within the household of God.
Scripture calls this shared life koinōnia (koi-no-KNEE-ah)—a rich biblical word that means far more than fellowship. It speaks of participation, partnership, communion, and the mutual sharing of life and possessions. This is not passive connection; it is an active, committed, and sacrificial way of living. It is the kind of community where people from different backgrounds, generations, stories, and perspectives are formed together into one family in Christ (Ephesians 2:14–16). The early church devoted themselves to koinōnia as they gathered, prayed, shared meals, served one another, and spread the gospel (Acts 2:42–47). Their shared life crossed boundaries of comfort, culture, economics, and ethnicity, and as a result, their community became their witness to the world: “and the Lord added to their number daily” (Acts 2:47).
We believe every follower of Jesus needs a spiritual family—a place to be known, loved, challenged, encouraged, equipped, and sent. The church is not an event to attend, but a place to belong. In this kind of community, belonging shapes becoming, and becoming fuels mission. At Parkcrest, membership is not the finish line—it is the starting place. It marks the moment someone moves from attending the church to being the church. It is a commitment to journey together toward Christ and joining God’s mission in the world. Membership at Parkcrest is your commitment to be rooted, known, and responsible to and for the body of Christ in this place.
